South Africa Tour - 8 & 11 Days (Tour Code SA1999)
Day 1:
Arrive in Johannesburg early in the morning and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, tour the township of Soweto. Visit to the Apartheid Museum. Overnight in the Johannesburg suburb of Sandton.
Day 2:
Morning: Depart for Sun City with a stop at the Lesedi Cultural Village to have lunch and see a dance performance by members of a troup representing several of South Africa's indigenous cultures. Tour the village to see homes and demonstrations of crafts.
In the afternoon continue on to fabulous Sun City - playground of the rich and famous. You will have a full day at Sun City Resort to indulge in any of the many activities available. Play golf on a Gary Player course, take a Game Drive through the Pilanesburg wildlife reserve, try your luck at the gaming tables or just relax by the pool. Overnight at Sun City.
Day 3:
Return to Johannesburg for your afternoon flight to Cape Town, with a stop en route to shop at roadside stands near the Hartebeesport Dam. Afternoon: Fly to Cape Town, arriving in the mid-afternoon and transfer to your hotel. Your evening is free to explore the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront complex of shops and restaurants. Overnight in Cape Town.
Day 4:
A full day tour of the wine country. Visit Stellenbosch, Franschoek & Paarl with wine tastings at various estates. Overnight in Cape Town.
Day 5:
Early morning, take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain for a fabulous view of Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula. Late morning, leave by ferry to Robben Island for a 3 hour tour of the island and prison where Nelson Mandala spent 26 years of his life. Afternoon, take a City Tour of Cape Town, including the colorful Malay Quarter of Bo-Kaap. Overnight in Cape Town.
Day 6:
Full day tour of the Cape Peninsula. See the penguins at Simonstown, visit an ostrich farm and experience the wildlife of the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Return to Cape Town via the scenic Chapman's Peak Drive for spectacular coastal views. Overnight in Cape Town.
Day 7:
Your morning is free to explore the Green Square Flea market or the shops at the Victoria and Alfred waterfront. After lunch, board your return flight to Johannesburg, arriving late afternoon - and transfer to your hotel in Sandton. Overnight in Sandton.
Day 8:
In the morning, depart for a tour of Pretoria, the Jacaranda City, to see the beautiful architecture and gardens of South Africa's capital. In the afternoon, you can go shopping or visit Gold Reef City where you can actually go down in a working gold mine. In the evening you board your return flight back home.

Victoria Falls: 3 days & 2 nights at the falls. Take a trip down the Zambezi River and view the falls from spectacular lookout points.

Our first stop is on Signal Hill. Enjoy wonderful views of Cape Town’s inner city, the Atlantic Suburbs of Green Point, Sea Point, the areas stretching to the north of the city as well as of Lions Head and Table Mountain.
For those preferring to ride the Cable Car to the top of Table Mountain, the Tour will leave out Signal Hill and stop at the Lower Cable Station. Our route takes us into the vibrant metropole again, passing many historical buildings. Stop at the Bo-Kaap to visit the cultural history museum. From here we walk, visiting “The Company Gardens”, planted by the Dutch to supply ships with fruit and vegetables and today a nice parkland.

Our first stop “Rhodes Memorial” honouring Cecil John Rhodes, politician and Diamond Magnet who left the land on the south eastern side of Table Mountain to the Nation. Followed by a visit to the National Botanical Gardens at Kirstenbosch. Enjoy the rolling lawns and trees, visit the Conservatory with its vast collection of succulents or walk up to one of the springs of the Liesbeek River, see ericas, cycads and other plants belonging to the “Fynbos” as well as South Africas National Flower – the King Protea.
From Kirstenbosch we follow the winding road through the forested areas of Upper Constantia, over the Constantia Nek Pass into the Hout Bay valley, once famous for hardwoods such as yellowwood, used by the early Dutch to build ships and houses.
Our route takes us along the coastal road via Champs Bay, passing some of Cape Town’s upmarket suburbs to reach the V&A Waterfront. Guided Tour of the Waterfront.
Last station for the day is Signal Hill - enjoy wonderful views of Atlantic Ocean, the suburbs of Greenpoint and Seapoint, the CBD and the “City Bowl area” with Devils Peak, Table Mountain and Signal Hill as guardians.

Visit to the Wineregions around Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. First stop is Stellenbosch with its historical town centre and whitewashed buildings clearly showing the Dutch and English periods of rule in the Cape. Circular tour of the town and photo stop at the old town common “The Braak”. We will be visiting one of the important wine cellars in the area – cellar tour and winetasting.
A scenic drive takes us over Heelshoogte Pass into the Groot Drakenstein Valley to a typical Cape Dutch Homestead at Boschendal - nestled between granite mountain peaks, beautiful gardens and fruit plantations.
Our route takes us deeper into the valley to “Franschhoek” with its Huguenot Memorial Monument and Museum. The village was founded by the first Huguenots arriving from France in 1688 bringing with them a sound knowledge of viticulture to the Cape. On our way back to Cape Town we stop at a wine and cheese farm to sample their products.
