We discover the places, which one would never explore on own fist on the island Flores - accompanied of experienced Tour-Guides with best regional knowledge and contacts. Each daily route is a genuine highlight for everybody, who would like to experience something singular and special - the Blue Stone Beach, the age-old village Bena, the 3 multi colour lakes in the crater of the volcano Kelimutu, the traditional Arrak distillery and not to forget, the experience-rich meetings along our way .......


1st Day: ARRIVAL IN DENPASAR
Pick up of the airport Denpasar and check in into the hotel Bali Agung Village. Depending upon arrival time the afternoon remains for the free order. For a small talk still something time remains after the Dinner in one of the many restaurants at the Beach.

2nd Day: FLIGHT TO LABUAN BAJO
After the breakfast we bring in together to the airport for the flight to Labuan Bajo. After cure two-leagues 85 flight minutes over Lombok, Sumbawa and a multiplicity of small and large islands we arrive the small port place in the west of the island Flores. We check into hotel at the edge of bathing and, depending upon desire and mood, have we still time for excursion to one of the close beaches.

3rd Day: WELCOME IN THE JURASIC PARK
With a traditional boat we drive to the island Rinca, there give it the famous Komodo-Goanna, true dragons, evolutionary relics of the primeval times and we undertake with a ranger of the national park one walking-tour approx. to 2-3 hrs. If we have luck, we can see the world-famous monitors with the hunt. The impressive animals let most today living lizards appear such as dwarves. They become 3 meters long and approximately 140 kg heavy. This king of all monitor lizards lives only on the island Rinca, Komodo and Gili Motang.
After the expanded walking-tour in the national park we take again course on the island Flores and have the opportunity in the crystal-clear water around the many small islands to snorkels. During sunset we reach Labuan Bajo and ride by cycle into our hotel.

4th Day: SPIDER WEB RICEFIELDS
On the early morning we drive cooler mountain country to Ruteng with the mini bus and visit on the way with the bike the spectacular Spider Web Rice-fields. ' S depending upon desire and mood continue to go by bike or also by truck to a traditional Ikat weaving mill, here find we also nut-trees and many other exotic plants. On the way there are again and again impressing views on the impressive mountain country shank. Last stop is the traditional village Todo, where the tooth of the time stand remained. In the evening BBQ and camping in the proximity of the village.

5th Day: LOKA TUA MATAAPI
By the pictorial mountain country shank with magnificent bamboo forests and full-green deep ravines we ride much downhill with the goal of reaching a traditional old Arrak distillery. If our condition should not be sufficient, we have to rise the opportunity in our truck and enjoy from there on the sight of the sumptuous forests into the proximity of the liquor factory. The evening could be located completely in the indication of the palm-juice-tasting, but WARNING ( HATI-HATI in Indonesia language ), the next day brings a few altitude difference .........!

6th Day: JOURNEY TO THE PAST
Who yesterday soberly remained, has today improves possibilities, because it goes into the cooler mountain world to the impressive north flank of the Mount Inerie (2130 m). After a impressing route by the mountain country landscape of central Flores we reach the megalithen village Bena at the foot of the volcano Inerie in the afternoon. Before the common BBQ with the inhabitants of the village we have to take still the opportunity into close convenient hot springs the bath. Age-old dances and combat plays with torch-light decide the evening and guarantee unforgettable experiences. We develop our Camp directly in the village.

7th Day: HELLO MISTERRR
Who is better more biker can 11 kilometer and 500 m altitude difference, from the village Bena up to the branch by Bike to complete and the calories of the past evening reduce, the wallower use the plank bed of our truck and enter at the apex. From here is further 75 kilometers predominantly downhill with occasional short rises by a pictorial backdrop, which is shaped by the volcano Inerie and Ambulombo. On the way we observe water buffalos, horses and cyan bright Kingfisher, which from time to time shy of it fly. The children in the villages welcome us with “Hello Misterrr” and we break open our tents close of the coast. Before the BBQ we can approve ourselves still another bath in the Sawu Sea…

8th Day: BIKE YOUR DREAMS
Unbelievably however truely, a route along the Sawo Sea coast to enjoy. I cannot this describe, you must it ride ….! The photos speak for itself ...........

9th Day: START TO THE MOUNT KELIMUTU
After the pleasure-tour of yesterday, we can crack today the COCOS-palms from the island, because we ride our Bike to the 1640 m high volcano Kelimutu! On the way we have to enjoy still much opportunity nature and landscape, those particularly by rice terraces, COCOS palms and enormous bamboo and cloud forests are shaped. With a few intermediate stops can we at gushing sources of water refresh ourselves and the few island inhabitants with their farm work observe. Our finish-point, the Kelimutu, we reach in the late afternoon and, when there are not cloudy, we can see the 3 crater lakes. We stay overnight in the Sankt Franciskus guesthouse.

10th Day: MOUNT KELIMUTU
Like a ghost the fog pulls in the morning over the crater of the Kelimutu, until suns it disappear lets, then dips her jets into the 3 colour-lakes and us opens an unbelievable view. Turquoise, black and dark red appear the 3 crater lakes into approximately 100 meters of depth, an unforgettable moment! …. We carry this instant forward on the last bike-day, which leads us a winding road by the pictorial landscape of this beautiful island direction Flores Sea. We enjoy the evening in the Sea World club Maumere with a BBQ.

11th – 12th Day: SNORKELLING & ENYOJ
The remaining days in the small coastal place Maumere are at the free disposal. To be bored no time, it gives still much to discover! Can stand for snorkels, bathing, enjoy and a visit of the fish market likewise on the program, as a small discovery wheel route the coastal road direction Wotong along.
The Sea-World-Club is also an ideal place for an extension on Flores.


13th Day: RETURN FLIGHT ON THE ISLAND BALI
After these quite experience-rich days on the beautiful flower island Floreswe say now GOOD BYE, drive to the airport into Maumere and after 120 minutes flight over the well-known volcano Tambora and Rinjani we arrive the island of the Gods Bali, where we check in again the hotel Bali Agung Village. In the evening we can go for shopping still extensively and dive into the night life in Kuta, Legian or Seminyak.


14th Day: FIRING TRIP FOR the AIRPORT or EXTENSION
In the morning it gives still sufficient time to the enjoy ...... Then the bus brings us to the airport. For last souvenir purchases can be still provided.

15th until ........ day: Who would like to still extend, can leave itself advised with us and to naturally also book, we are “locally” and have many secret references ready.

"Die Idee "COCOSTRAVEL" kam mir 2001 bei einem superlangen Downhill von einem mächtigen Vulkan auf der Insel Java. Damals war ich bereits zum zweiten Mal für längere Zeit zum Biken mit dem Fahrrad auf den Inseln Bali und Java, aber Cocostravel war nur ein Traum. Dann folgten im Jahr 2002 wieder zwei längere Aufenthalte um die Touren mit dem Bike perfekt zu machen. Zur Seite standen mir Heriyanto mit seinen Freunden auf der schönen Insel Java, Wayan von der " Bali Cycle Federation" zum Radeln auf der geheimnisvollen Insel Bali. Ariani war und ist für die organisatorischen Dinge auf Bali zuständig. Mardi und Wayan begleiten uns mit den Fahrzeugen und sorgen für das leibliche Wohl in den Camps. Das Ergebnis sind nun 7 verschiedene Bike-Touren (8/9/11/14 und 17 Tage), von leicht bis mittelschwer und 7 verschiedene Tages-/Mehrtagestouren (Trekking, Radeln, Schnorcheln), die auf Euch warten. Wer jetzt denkt, das Klima auf diesen Inseln ist zum Radfahren zu heiß, der irrt, denn wir bewegen uns immer in einer gewissen Höhe und oft kommen wir nur abends an den Ozean.
