"Wonders of Chiloé"

Chiloé is the gateway to Chilean Patagonia. But it is also and above all an island with rich traditions and a history revolving around the sea. Birthplace of many legends, the island boasts important cultural, human and natural attractions. On the continental side of the Chiloé region, volcanoes see their image reflected in the deep blue waters of huge lakes. This program allows you to discover the most attractive places of Puerto Montt and Chiloé area.

Duration: 5 days/ 4 nigths

DAY 1: PUERTO MONTT (IN) – PETROHUE - PUERTO VARAS
Reception at Puerto Montt airport. Lunch at Angelmo harbour. Transfer to Petrohué, on the shore of lake Todos los Santos to visit the Petrohué waterfalls. Drive to Puerto Varas. Hotel. (L)

DAY 2: PUERTO VARAS - PUERTO MONTT – ANCUD - CASTRO
Departure to Pargua from where we take the ferry that takes us to Chiloé Island. During the crossing we usually see sea lions accompanying the ferry. Arrival in Chiloé Island. A beautiful landscape welcomes us: pine-tree forests, water channels, rivers and typical wooden churches. We visit the Humboldt penguin reserve and the museum of Ancud. Continuation to Castro, famous for its houses on beams built at the shore of the sea. Hotel. (B,L).

DAY 3: CASTRO - CHILOE NATIONAL PARK - CASTRO
Full day excursion to Chiloé national park, located on the west coast of the island. Transfer back to Castro. Hotel. (B,L).

DAY 4: CASTRO - LLINGUA ISLAND – MECHUQUE ISLAND
Visit of a fisherman’s wharf. Excursion to Achao and of Curaco de Velez. We take a small boat to Llingua island where we will visit traditional handcraft workshops. Another boat ride to Mechuque island. Overnight in a guesthouse. (B,L,D).

DAY 5: MECHUQUE ISLAND - TENAUN - PUERTO MONTT (OUT)
Boat ride to Tenaun and transfer back to Puerto Montt. END OF SERVICES. (B,L)

This program ends on day 5 at approx. 4 PM. It is important to book the afternoon flight.
